The meeting place was set at the old family home. Yu Qian went to the station to pick up the guest, and was stunned when she saw Wen Xiu arriving with so many bags. Both hands were full, not a single one left empty!

"Why did you buy so much?" Yu Qian asked as she helped take some of the bags.

"It's my first time visiting your family, how could I come without gifts?" Wen Xiu replied, perfectly justified.

Yu Qian’s mouth twitched. "There's really no need to buy so much. It's not as if they don't know your intentions."

"Well, you know, but Uncle and Aunt don't," Wen Xiu retorted. "All these are for your parents. I want to buy them, so it’s none of your business!"

Yu Qian glared at her, refusing to back down. "No gifts for me?"

"None, none, none! They’re all for Uncle and Aunt!"

Hmph, how frustrating. She remembered to buy gifts for her parents, but not for her. Yu Qian, annoyed, marched ahead with the bags, while Wen Xiu followed behind, giggling secretly.

How could she not prepare something for Yu Qian? After all, Yu Qian was the cherished treasure in everyone’s heart; if she forgot anyone, it would never be her.

Wen Yu waited at the gate, surprised at the sight of so many bags.

"Hello, Auntie," Wen Xiu quickly greeted upon seeing her.

"Ah, Xiu Xiu, right? Come in, quickly," Wen Yu said, trying to take the bags from Wen Xiu, but Wen Xiu dodged and Wen Yu simply ushered her inside.

"Dear, dear!" Wen Yu called her husband from the kitchen. "They’ve arrived, come out and greet our guest."

"Alright."

"Hello, Uncle and Aunt!" As soon as they entered the living room, Wen Xiu stood up and greeted them, a bit nervous.

"Hello." Yu Wen scrutinized her carefully before responding.

"Uncle and Aunt, my name is Wen Xiu—Wen as in culture, Xiu as in excellence," she explained, growing more nervous under Yu Wen's gaze.

"Wen? Your surname is Wen too?" Wen Yu asked, surprised.

"Yes, that's correct."

"Well then, can I call you Xiu Xiu, just like Qian does?"

"Of course, Auntie, whatever you prefer." Wen Xiu smiled, though her face was stiff—her nerves obvious at a glance.

"Alright, Xiu Xiu, just sit down. No need to be so tense." Wen Yu couldn't help but chuckle.

Obediently, Wen Xiu sat down, her back straight and hands placed on her knees, not daring to move.

"Xiu Xiu, Auntie invited you here because Qian wants to become a celebrity, and she says it’s because of something you said. So I wanted to learn more about it." Wen Yu, seeing her settled, got straight to the point.

She hadn't expected the question to be so direct, and after a moment’s pause, she replied, "Yes, I think Qian has learned so many talents that it would be a waste if she only stayed behind the scenes as originally planned. Besides, I intend to set up my own studio, so I want to bring Qian along."

"Have you considered Qian’s age? She’s only ten, hasn’t even finished elementary school."

"I have. Right now, the studio is just a concept—I’m still working to save up. Before it’s officially established, Qian’s main focus should be her studies and laying a solid foundation."

"So you haven’t thought about having Qian enter the entertainment industry right away?" Yu Wen was surprised; he had assumed Wen Xiu wanted Qian to abandon her education and dive into the industry immediately.

"No, she’s still so young. Entering the industry now would mean giving up on her studies. Besides, I don’t yet have the power to guarantee her safety. What I want is to be able to protect those under my care," Wen Xiu answered, a bit puzzled as to why they thought otherwise.

"How much capability do you have right now?"

"I have just under ten million in liquid assets. It’s enough to set up a studio, but not nearly enough for hiring staff or securing resources." Wen Xiu answered honestly.

"Ten million?" Yu Wen was stunned. Are kids these days really so bold, talking about ten million just like that? "Can you tell me how you earned that money?"

He was worried the money might not be clean, given how young Wen Xiu was and that she didn’t seem like a wealthy heiress.

"I won some money from the lottery, then started trading stocks. I was lucky and made quite a bit."

Yu Wen fell silent. Qian had mentioned stock trading, but he’d seen people ruin their lives doing it, so he’d always been against it. For Wen Xiu to have made ten million from stocks, he couldn’t quite believe it.

Still, he said nothing, and asked Wen Yu to chat with her, while he took his daughter into the kitchen.

Who knows what father and daughter discussed in there, but when Yu Wen came out, his expression was much improved, and his gaze at Wen Xiu was more relaxed.

Meanwhile, Wen Yu had learned all about Wen Xiu’s background. Orphaned, sponsored by kind people through high school, self-taught in finance, made money trading stocks, met Yu Qian in a bookstore, and the two became fast friends.

The couple pooled their information—not completely reassured, but no longer opposed to Qian becoming a celebrity.

Even if Wen Xiu wasn’t strong enough, the two of them would be there to support Qian.

If they worked hard, grew their business, maybe they could become first-generation wealthy and give Qian a solid backing.

At lunch, watching the two girls chatting happily together, Wen Yu had an idea.

"Xiu Xiu, seeing how close you are with Qian, and since you said you have no parents, would you like to have us as your godparents? That way, Qian becomes your little sister."

Yu Wen and Yu Qian didn’t object—they’d already discussed it in the kitchen. They’d intended to bring it up after lunch, but Wen Yu had the same idea.

Wen Xiu was moved. When she first came to the human world, she hadn’t thought about parents, but over time, watching others with their families, she’d grown envious.

"Uncle, Aunt, as long as you don’t mind, I’d be honored!"

"Then stop calling us Uncle and Aunt, change it," Yu Qian said after swallowing a bite of meat.

"Right away!" Wen Xiu put down her chopsticks, poured two cups of tea, walked over to the couple, knelt and offered the tea. "Godfather, Godmother, please have some tea!"

They accepted the tea and took a sip. "Get up now. Eat first. After lunch, we’ll take you to meet Grandpa, Grandma, and your uncle."

"Thank you, Godfather, Godmother!"

Wen Xiu was genuinely happy; now she finally had parents.

She met the elders without a hitch, received a round of red envelopes, and a room was prepared for her in the house.

That night, Wen Xiu didn’t return to the provincial capital, but stayed here.

The next day was Monday. After lunch, Wen Xiu and Yu Wen and Wen Yu took the car back to the provincial capital.

Once she arrived, Wen Xiu wasted no time and headed straight to the securities office.

Time to make money!

She was determined to pave the way for Qian in the entertainment world!

...

News of Yu Qian’s shift quickly reached Zhou Jingchen.

His future wife wanted to be a star—how could he not support her?

He immediately hired a new batch of people and formed a new team.

A water army studio.

Zhou Jingchen was reborn; of course he knew just how important marketing accounts and the water army would become in the entertainment industry.

He already had a batch of accounts on hand—better to put them to use than let them sit idle.

Even if his future wife was still a child and hadn’t entered the industry yet, it didn’t matter.

He could start managing the accounts; after all, other stars would need them too.

With Zhou Jingchen’s indulgence, the first wave of marketing accounts appeared on Yunbo.

You scratch my back, I scratch yours; these accounts helped each other, and their follower counts soared.

At first, many thought the news these accounts posted was fake—following them just for amusement, or to curse them when their own idols were dragged in.

Until one day, a marketing account posted the news that a newly crowned Best Actor was two-timing.

When the news first came out, no one believed it; comments and shares were full of angry fans.

But the next day, the top headline in the entertainment section of the newspaper gave a detailed report on the incident.
