Chapter 121: Borrowing a Womb to Become Human
Once the Heavenly Demon was in his possession, it blinked its eyes and complained to Qin Feng.
"I truly overestimated this Yin Blood Pool. That lecherous toad must have absorbed most of the energy within, leaving me with only about twenty percent of my strength restored."
The Heavenly Demon expressed its regret, but Qin Feng merely rolled his eyes.
Even at twenty percent—or even ten—the power of the Heavenly Demon’s Blood-Qi Coffin was more than Qin Feng could fully harness at his current level. It was greedy to complain after having gained so much.
However, Qin Feng himself had gained significantly this time.
He extended a finger, and a small cluster of blood-colored flame flickered at its tip. The flame was so deeply crimson that, at a glance, it looked as if his finger were bleeding.
Holding the flame up to the Heavenly Demon’s eyes, Qin Feng asked, "Heavenly Demon, do you recognize this fire?"
Sensing the immense, scorching heat, the Heavenly Demon’s pupils contracted sharply, and it exclaimed in surprise:
"The Blood-Burning Purifying Flame!"
"I never imagined the mysterious entity within the Yang Pool would be this Blood-Burning Purifying Flame! Kid, you’ve hit the jackpot! In the ancient era, I only ever heard the name of this flame; I never had the fortune to see it myself, which speaks to its rarity. This fire craves blood and possesses a vibrant red hue. It holds extraordinary lethality against demons and monsters born from foul, Yin-blooded filth! No wonder, no wonder!"
Recalling the lecherous toad monster in the Yin Pool, the Heavenly Demon blinked.
At the mention of this, Qin Feng suddenly remembered Qin Xinyue and the lecherous toad.
Walking out of the blood pool’s pit, Qin Feng lifted his gaze toward the direction where the toad and Qin Xinyue had been.
At that sight, his eyes narrowed violently.
The toad monster had vanished.
"Is the lecherous toad dead?"
The area was in complete disarray, littered with gore and mangled flesh. Only Qin Xinyue remained, lying naked, covered in filth and wounds. Her state was wretched to behold, especially the area between her legs, which was reduced to a bloody pulp; it seemed the toad had succeeded in its debauchery and utterly ruined her.
Qin Xinyue was not dead, but she was on the verge of death.
It seemed the toad was truly dead, but—
Suddenly, Qin Feng’s gaze locked onto Qin Xinyue’s abdomen. Her belly was distended, and within it, a mysterious, reddish mass pulsed rhythmically.
Qin Feng frowned.
"What is going on here?"
He slowly approached, purple light flashing in his eyes. As he did, his expression turned grim.
That wretched, lecherous toad!
Qin Xinyue was clearly finished, but she was still clinging to a final, fading breath. Seeing Qin Feng approach, she first cast a look of resentment at him, then convulsed, coughing up a spray of blood.
Qin Feng dodged it.
Qin Xinyue seemed to have resigned herself to her fate. She had been drained of all her essence by the thing in her womb; even her skin was beginning to wither and crack.
In that instant, Qin Xinyue seemed to age a hundred years.
Qin Feng shook his head, his eyes burning with fury.
He shook his head for Qin Xinyue; for a woman who had spent her entire life scheming against others to end up in such a miserable, tragic state was truly pathetic.
His anger, however, was for the actions of that toad, which made his blood boil.
No matter how hateful Qin Xinyue was, she was still human! And that toad was nothing but a beast!
Qin Xinyue’s gaze began to drift, but in her final moments, the trace of pleading in her eyes and a single, blood-red tear caused Qin Feng to sigh.
Qin Xinyue’s intent was clear: she was begging him to act quickly, to prevent the monster inside her from being born. Qin Feng knew that if that creature were to emerge, it would be a master born specifically to wreak havoc upon women.
Qin Feng nodded, signaling her to rest in peace.
As the light faded from Qin Xinyue’s eyes, Qin Feng raised his heavy weapon, Chongwu, and brought it down with a thunderous force onto her distended belly.
He channeled three thousand Dragon God Force into the strike!
He had to destroy the monster in one blow!
It deserved to die!
However, at the very instant before Chongwu descended, Qin Xinyue’s massive, protruding stomach suddenly burst open, and a humanoid figure flew out from within. After emerging, it performed a series of uncanny, evasive maneuvers, dodging Qin Feng’s attack entirely. It landed not far from the blood pool, straightened its back, and looked at Qin Feng.
Qin Feng’s overwhelming force had reduced Qin Xinyue’s corpse to a spray of gore.
She was already dead; it mattered not that her remains were gone.
Having missed his mark, Qin Feng glared at the humanoid figure.
Standing before him was a naked man!
He was truly human in appearance, not a monster!
The man had silver brows and white hair. Judging by his looks, he was in his twenties. He bore a faint resemblance to Li Xingjian and looked eighty percent like the deceased Li Haoran.
Though he possessed a human form, the lecherous, predatory gaze of the monster made Qin Feng recognize him instantly as the toad.
The creature had actually survived by changing its form!
Not only that, it had successfully evolved into a human shape.
Furthermore, it had chosen the one face that Qin Feng found most loathsome and repulsive!
Li Haoran!
At the sight of that face, Qin Feng felt a surge of nausea!
Yet, he had to admit, the toad had chosen the most fitting face under the heavens—a face born for lust!
However, after dying and being reborn through this evolution, the toad’s strength was clearly severely diminished. This was the perfect moment for Qin Feng to finish it off!
With this thought, Qin Feng swung Chongwu again. Kicking off the ground, he lunged directly at the man-shaped toad.
Qin Feng’s ferocious expression filled the newly born toad with dread.
It wasn't afraid of the weapon in Qin Feng’s hands, but rather the aura it sensed from Qin Feng—an aura that terrified it to its very core:
The Blood-Burning Purifying Flame!
Staring intently at Qin Feng’s trajectory, the toad’s eyes flashed with silver light.
The next moment, Qin Feng felt the space around him suddenly harden, and his movements became sluggish.
"Hmph, trying the same trick again!"
If this were the toad from before, Qin Feng might have been cautious.
But now? Qin Feng sneered.
Injecting three thousand Dragon God Force into his legs, he kicked off, the powerful thrust combined with his immense physical strength tearing the frozen space apart.
With a sound like shattering glass, a faint, azure light shimmered over Qin Feng’s powerful frame.
The sheer force was so violent that the toad was struck with terror!
This was the second time Qin Feng had forcibly torn through the other's binding technique. The first time, he had relied on the help of the Heavenly Demon’s Blood-Qi Coffin, but this time, it was entirely through his own raw power!
In the next second, Qin Feng surged forward again.
Wielding Chongwu, he was like a peerless beast released from its cage. His bloodthirsty, savage gaze made the toad feel for the first time that Qin Feng was not a man, but a perverted maniac a hundred times more vicious than itself!
The toad’s handsome, eerily alluring face turned pale. It clearly had not expected Qin Feng’s strength to skyrocket to such a degree, allowing him to break through its most reliable binding art so effortlessly.
The toad, however, had no intention of a prolonged fight; its purpose in binding Qin Feng had only been to buy a moment.
It had achieved its goal. While stalling, it distended its belly and spat a thick, black, filthy blood toward the approaching Qin Feng. Then, with a kick of its legs, it dove into the deep pit of the blood pool that Qin Feng had drained earlier.
Qin Feng’s eyes grew colder!
Facing the filth, he reached out, a cluster of blood-colored flame igniting in his palm, and incinerated the black blood into nothingness.
However, this delay cost him. By the time he reached the edge, the toad had vanished.
It had clearly jumped into the deep tunnel at the bottom of the pool.
Qin Feng hesitated only briefly, but his resolve to kill the toad remained unshaken. Bracing his arms, he dove into the deep pit, following the path of the fleeing monster.
A hunt! Even if he had to chase it to the ends of the earth, he would slaughter this disgusting creature!
