Chapter 118: The Birth of the Lascivious Toad
There was indeed a spirit in the pool, and a lecherous one at that! Its hungry, ghostly eyes remained locked onto Qin Xinyue, as if waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Qin Feng frowned. He felt an intense, natural aversion to the creature's aura—a profound sense of disgust. However, his own situation was dire. Numerous mud-corpse clones were closing in, and he knew he would be exposed within five breaths.
Qin Feng’s mind raced, and in an instant, he made his decision. He stripped off the large black cloth he had been wearing, tucked it into his storage ring, and stepped out from behind his cover, heading directly toward the pair.
Qin Xinyue and Qu She were taken aback; they hadn't expected Qin Feng to reveal himself voluntarily. But upon reflection, they realized it was inevitable—the mud-corpse clones’ carpet-search would have flushed him out soon enough. Still, they couldn't help but admire his audacity.
"Tsk, tsk. This kid is far better than your spineless son! With both courage and wit, he is the most promising young man I’ve encountered in my life. If he hadn't offended you, I would have loved to take him as my disciple and train him well. He would surely have become a remarkable figure," Qu She chuckled, licking his scarlet lips with a hint of regret.
Qin Feng ignored him. To a cold-blooded devil like Qu She, words were as worthless as wind; one could never take such claims seriously.
Qin Xinyue, however, was radiating killing intent. The fact that Qin Feng had killed Li Haoran was a massive blow to her. To this aging woman, Li Haoran was more than just a son; he was a tool, a trump card to control Li Xingjian. With that tool gone, the tether between her and Li Xingjian had snapped. The depth of her hatred for Qin Feng was palpable; she was practically gnashing her teeth.
"You little bastard, did you kill my son?" Her body trembled with intense agitation. It was clear that in her eyes, Qin Feng was already a dead man.
Qin Feng nodded coldly, owning the deed. "That’s right. I killed him. Li Haoran deserved to die!"
"Then pay for my son's life with your own!" Qin Xinyue hissed. Lacking the patience for further talk, she moved to strike.
Just as she raised her Tianbo Yingfeng Zither, Qu She reached out and placed a hand on her wrist, smiling sinisterly. "Yue'er, wouldn't it be too easy for him if he just died like that?"
Qin Xinyue paused, looking at him. Qu She’s eyes were filled with the cruel joy of a sadist. "You have a better idea? Something to make him wish he were dead?"
"Of course! Don't forget, I have endured this torment myself. I wonder, can this kid withstand the bite of the corpse?"
Qu She signaled, and the countless mud-corpse clones converged, merging into the colossal, roaring creature that had appeared earlier. "How about we let it devour him piece by piece?"
Qu She was going to great lengths to curry favor with Qin Xinyue.
"Fine. Do it!" Qin Xinyue agreed readily, consumed by her desire to see Qin Feng torn to shreds.

As the two exchanged these words, they had effectively passed a death sentence upon themselves. Qin Feng glanced sideways at the blood pool behind them and sneered inwardly. This wretched pair, one blinded by hatred and the other by sycophancy, had ignored the greatest danger of all—the very Yin blood pool where Qin Xinyue had been bathing.
Cleansing oneself in such a pool was not without its price.
Qin Feng remained silent. The pair assumed he was terrified, their faces twisting into sadistic grins. Qin Feng shook his head. These two were as good as dead today.
Sure enough, the moment the mud-corpse lunged at Qin Feng, a strange glob of ink-red blood shot out from the Yin blood pool, moving toward Qin Xinyue with terrifying speed. Because the pair had been so careless, the attack caught them completely off guard.
Qin Xinyue panicked, but by the time she reacted, the blood mass was already upon her. Qu She was faster; he drew a strange, snake-shaped blade and slashed at the blood. However, this only infuriated it. The glob shifted direction, enveloping Qu She completely before dragging him down into the Yin blood pool.
Once submerged, Qu She had no time to react. Within a single breath, he was surrounded by blood-mass spikes and corroded into an ink-green skeleton.
Qin Xinyue was horrified. Qin Feng, however, remained calm. He stood his ground as the mud-corpse lunged for him, only to burst into a pile of foul, hardened mud less than a meter away from him. With its master dead, the life-bound corpse had perished instantly—a fatal flaw of the life-bound corpse contract.
The immediate crisis averted, Qin Feng narrowed his eyes. "Ink-green?"
He sensed something deeply sinister. He knew Qu She’s bones were ivory-white, as nearly half of the man’s body had been skeletal. Under normal circumstances, they shouldn't turn ink-green. Unless the Yin blood pool was intentionally modifying the remains... what was it trying to achieve?
As Qin Feng pondered and Qin Xinyue stared in terror, the Yin blood pool shifted again. After some eerie undulations, the reddish, ink-like blood spread over the ink-green skeleton. With a grotesque distortion, black-and-red flesh began to bulge and crawl over the bones like squirming maggots—a truly nauseating sight.
Qin Feng realized the truth. "Could this mysterious blood mass be trying to possess a body and be reborn as a human?"
The idea was sound, but the result was a bloated, hideous toad—a massive, red-and-black creature covered in warts, with disgusting, viscous slime dripping from its mouth. One look was enough to make anyone's skin crawl.
"Is this a lust-toad?"
Indeed, it was! The creature’s eyes were brimming with lecherous hunger, fixed unblinkingly on Qin Xinyue’s beautiful form, its drool pooling on the ground. It was clearly an obscene creature born from the long, dark history of the Yin blood pool, and it possessed a terrifying, rudimentary intelligence.
Qin Feng did not move. He knew the toad’s primary target was not him, but Qin Xinyue. The massive, erect appendage between the toad's hind legs made that abundantly clear. It was a male, and it had no interest in men—at best, it would simply kill them. But for a woman...
Qin Feng chose to wait and see. With a Earth-Rank expert like Qin Xinyue standing in the way, he could observe the creature’s strange powers before finding a way to destroy it.
Qin Feng’s plan was sound, but Qin Xinyue, sensing the danger, began to retreat toward him, hoping to use him as a shield to escape. She was terrified—the toad’s naked, lustful gaze made her tremble. The thought of being ravaged by such a creature was unthinkable. It was a primal, instinctive horror; no one had ever heard of such a beast. If she were violated by a toad, she could never show her face in the world again.
She gambled on drawing the toad’s attention to Qin Feng, but her ploy only enraged him.
As she drew near, Qin Feng gritted his teeth and pulled out the Heavenly Demon Blood Coffin. He dove inside and commanded it to hover, flying toward the Yin-Yang blood pool.
The toad glanced at Qin Feng, its lidless eyes blinking once. A flash of green light streaked through the air, freezing both the coffin and Qin Xinyue in place.
The Heavenly Demon Blood Coffin glowed with purple light, vibrating violently until spiderweb-like blood cracks appeared on its weathered surface. The toad looked surprised. Before it could react further, the coffin shattered its restraints with a loud boom and shot toward the Yin-Yang blood pool.
Just before plunging into the Yin pool, the coffin spat Qin Feng out into the Yang blood pool.
"Damn it! Heavenly Demon, that was low!"
"There’s something else mysterious in the Yang pool... I can’t handle that!"
