Chapter 112: The Shattering of Purple Heaven V

“Hmph. You are merely a boy at the Human Astral Realm, yet you think you can avenge my foolish disciple?”
Li Xingjian seemed to have heard something utterly ridiculous. A ferocious, sinister smile twisted his face, and he regarded Qin Feng’s bold declaration with utter disdain.
Lifting his blood-red eyes, Qin Feng sneered coldly. “Li Xingjian, you are the master of a sect, yet you are nothing more than a despicable, shameless wretch. You have no right to be Zhan Bai’s teacher. I know that the one standing here is not your true body, but merely a puppet vessel. However, your true body should be able to hear every word I say. Listen carefully, word for word: if I do not die today, then within a hundred years, I, Qin Feng, will storm Shu Sword Mountain and take your head to offer in sacrifice to Zhan Bai’s departed soul!”
Qin Feng spoke each word with thunderous force.
His overwhelming killing intent drove his aura to an unrivaled height. Even Li Xingjian’s pressure was greatly weakened and could no longer exert much influence over him.
The murderous bloodlust in Qin Feng’s eyes, and the piercing hatred within them, passed straight through the puppet’s eyes and appeared in those of Li Xingjian, thousands of miles away.
Blood like clouds. Hatred like an ocean. Heaven and earth veiled beneath them.
Killing intent, sharp as a sword, cleaving straight into the skies.
It made Li Xingjian’s eyes tremble faintly.
For some inexplicable reason, Li Xingjian felt a trace of fearful unease emanating from this youth named Qin Feng.
That unease came from Qin Feng’s blood-red eyes, and from the strange, mysterious aura concealed within his body. This boy clearly harbored some enormous secret. If he were allowed to grow, he would certainly become a grave threat to Shu Sword Mountain.
But Li Xingjian was no ordinary man. He quickly reached his decision.
This person had to be crushed while still in the cradle.
“Boy, there have been countless people who wanted my head, but I, Li Xingjian, am still living perfectly well. You, however, will certainly die today!”
To dispel that trace of unease, Li Xingjian decided to sacrifice this puppet vessel if necessary and kill Qin Feng here and now.
Qin Feng gave two cold laughs.
He paid no attention whatsoever to Li Xingjian’s threat.
“Is that so? If your true body were standing before me and saying those words, perhaps I would believe you. But you are nothing more than a puppet vessel. That Silver Puppet Corpse Talisman has already expended most of its energy, and it has only barely allowed you to reach the Half-Step Earth Astral Realm. You are not even as strong as an ordinary first-stage Earth Astral cultivator.”
“Hmph. So what if that is true? It is more than enough to kill a third-stage Human Astral cultivator like you!” Li Xingjian’s expression became savage. He clearly did not believe that Qin Feng, at his current level, could escape his grasp.
But Li Xingjian was wrong—spectacularly wrong.
From beginning to end, Qin Feng had never once considered fleeing.
He stepped forward, walking toward Li Xingjian one step at a time. Then he stamped his foot against the ground and suddenly accelerated.

Qin Feng excelled in body cultivation, so he had to close the distance in order to unleash his greatest combat strength. Li Xingjian knew this as well.
Narrowing his eyes, Li Xingjian watched Qin Feng rapidly approach. His gaze was as cold and sinister as a blade. In particular, the eye he had taken from Zhan Bai was extraordinary. Within its pupil, the shattered stars emitted a faint radiance.
He extended his only remaining right arm. Specks of starlight glimmered in his palm as he suddenly clenched his hand in midair.
He uttered two words:
“Star Bind!”
The instant his voice fell, Qin Feng felt an immensely powerful binding force envelop his entire body. At the same time, the surrounding space suddenly blazed with brilliant white starlight. Countless points of stellar radiance appeared from nowhere and pressed down upon him.
Qin Feng tried to dodge, but the scattered white lights clung to him like maggots burrowing into bone, crawling over his body in an instant. The tremendous pressure seemed intent on crushing him to pieces.
But in the next moment—
The countless white stars came to a bizarre halt before Qin Feng.
At that critical instant, the Demon Eye in Qin Feng’s left palm raised a strange red barrier around him. It continuously resisted the white starlight. Yet rather than retreating, the stellar radiance grew fiercer, gathering in ever greater numbers and pressing madly against the red shield, which teetered on the verge of collapse.
It was terrifyingly powerful. Even a Heavenly Demon could not suppress the might of Star Bind.
And it was exceedingly strange. Qin Feng could not move at all.
The source of this binding force was actually the Star-Shattered Eye taken from Zhan Bai.
What an extraordinary eye.
No wonder Li Xingjian had schemed so painstakingly—even going so far as to take Zhan Bai as his disciple—all for the sake of seizing this unfathomable eye.
But Qin Feng merely sneered inwardly.
Using ocular abilities in front of him? Hmph.
Qin Feng raised his head, and violet radiance suddenly blazed from both his eyes.
This was the first time he had unleashed the full power of his Purple Heaven Eye.
His purpose was to resist that mysterious eye taken from Zhan Bai. The moment the Purple Heaven Eye opened, a ring of gray-violet devouring waves appeared around Qin Feng. Like countless tentacles, they instantly swallowed every point of starlight they touched.
Two eyes against one.

The Star-Shattered Eye in Li Xingjian’s socket also blazed with starlight. Tiny drops of blood seeped from the corner of his eye, clearly showing that he had encountered a formidable opponent and was operating the eye at full capacity to resist him.
“Li Xingjian, is this the power you schemed so desperately to obtain? Hmph! It is nothing special!”
Li Xingjian was utterly astonished. He had believed that once Zhan Bai’s Star-Shattered Eye displayed its divine ability, Qin Feng would naturally be powerless to resist. He had never imagined that this boy would also excel in such techniques—or that he possessed an ocular divine ability of an even higher order.
Yet Li Xingjian was no ordinary man. After his initial shock, he once again spoke coldly.
“Let me show you the true power of this eye—”
“Star Shatter!”
As his voice fell, the countless points of starlight surrounding Qin Feng suddenly exploded like fireworks. Though each was tiny, their power was immense. They forcibly tore apart the space around Qin Feng, which shattered like glass and formed a black void. The void continued to expand, spreading toward Qin Feng and engulfing his position.
Was this fractured space?
Qin Feng’s expression grew solemn.
With a cold snort, a thread of black light suddenly seeped from the center of his brow. It split into two strands, spreading like blood vessels and supplying energy to Qin Feng’s eyes. In an instant, the violet radiance became dazzlingly bright.
At that moment, heaven and earth seemed to dim as well. All the surrounding starlight was swallowed, effectively restraining the void’s spread.
Freed from the binding force of the stellar energy, Qin Feng twisted his body and dodged away.
The fractured void in the air, deprived of its source of power, slowly shrank before gradually vanishing. Space healed once more.
Li Xingjian was horrified.
Qin Feng’s ocular divine ability was clearly far more formidable.
He had spent more than a century scheming and plotting, supplementing his efforts with conspiracies and underhanded tricks, before finally obtaining Zhan Bai’s Star-Shattered Eye today. Although this puppet vessel could currently unleash only a tenth or two of the eye’s power, it was obvious that Qin Feng’s ocular divine ability was even stronger.
It completely overwhelmed and suppressed his own.
Li Xingjian realized that he had made a mistake.
Perhaps he should never have used the ocular divine ability he had coveted for so long to kill Qin Feng. But regret came too late. After several flashes, Qin Feng had already closed in.
A massive fist was expanding rapidly before his eyes…
