Chapter 132: Struggling Until Death
The indifferent tone, the affected emphasis, and the careless aura—all were things Jing Dule found impossible to remain indifferent to.
"I’m asking you a question. Answer me! You were making 'tsk-tsk' sounds endlessly just a moment ago; aren't you quite the chatterbox now?!"
Xuan Yao’s appearance had undergone a radical transformation. Her hair was styled in spiral patterns like those of a Buddha, but the ends of her locks had morphed into countless purple-black serpents, flickering their crimson tongues as they fixed their gaze upon Jing Dule. Beneath her eyes, blood-red tear-like markings snaked down to her heaving chest. Her pale purple skin was encased in a suit of serpent-scale armor, accentuating the allure of her curvaceous figure. Beneath her bare feet, a mandala throne hovered in mid-air, wantonly radiating a dazzling,妖-purple brilliance.
Teigu "Serpent Lady: Ghost Tathagata," awakened!
"Te... Te... Teigu... How could something like that possibly exist in your hands?!"
Seeing the Serpent Lady: Ghost Tathagata, Jing Dule could not fathom how he had ended up here, facing a Teigu in the possession of an utterly unremarkable death-row prisoner. Sensing the soul of his Chen-gu, the Thousand-Eyed Demon Insect, trembling uncontrollably, Jing Dule realized he had stumbled upon the real deal.
Damn it! What incredible, wretched luck!
"I don't know. I just sort of stumbled into it, but today, I think I’ve finally understood its purpose..."
Xuan Yao’s languid tone carried a hint of naive innocence, yet the surging murderous intent, accompanied by the overflowing妖-purple radiance, turned the entire void into a forbidden zone for the living.
"This Teigu exists to... let me tear you limb from limb with my own hands and grind your bones into dust!"
The妖-purple light tore through the heavens and earth. Under Xuan Yao’s reckless activation of the Teigu, the entire space transformed into an ocean of endless resentment. Massive amounts of deathly aura, phantoms, grievances, and wandering souls echoed in harmony. The wailing, mournful sounds were deafening, chilling one to the bone.
In the center of this sea of the dead stood the phantom of the Ghost Tathagata and the Serpent Lady. Their eyes, glowing with妖-purple light, fixed upon Jing Dule with a cold, absolute finality that no one dared to meet.
"You killed my brother Mu You. I will make you—and this entire Death Row Paradise—pay for his funeral with your lives!!"
Whoosh...
As Xuan Yao spoke, the妖-purple runes covering her body flared with brilliant light. The entire shroud of death descended directly upon that tiny speck of silver in the firmament. Jing Dule, unwilling to surrender, pushed his Chen-gu, the Thousand-Eyed Demon, to expand instantly into a massive beast, colliding head-on with the sea of death.
A muffled, jarring impact erupted, plunging everything in the vicinity into a brief distortion. All scenery faded into insignificance, eclipsed by the clashing of the silver and purple brilliance.
"Oh, a mere Chen-gu, daring to challenge a Teigu."
Ghost Tathagata spoke, casting a sidelong glance at Xuan Yao, who was pouring every ounce of her strength into the Teigu beneath him. His aggressive, provocative gaze held a hint of amusement. When he received a cold, emotionless glare in return from Xuan Yao, he shrugged his shoulders dismissively and placed a hand casually upon the skull clutched in her grip.
The Serpent Lady, as if yet to fully awaken, lay lazily against the Ghost Tathagata’s muscular chest, watching the events unfold as if they were a play.
"The girl is quite pretty, so I shall assist you once. Remember, you promised me what I asked for..."
Ghost Tathagata finished, gripping the translucent purple skull, and in the process, firmly clasping Xuan Yao’s delicate hand within his own. He leveraged this to press down viciously upon Jing Dule below.
"Since you love to struggle so much, then struggle until you die!"
Seeing Jing Dule dare to challenge him with nothing but a lowly Chen-gu and cause his little one such distress, the Ghost Tathagata struck with ruthless force. The purple skull expanded instantly, slamming the Thousand-Eyed Demon deep into the earth, silencing it forever.
