Jing Dule.

“Little brother…”

Yet Jing Fei’s murmured voice was instantly ground beneath four icy, furious roars:

“Thunderflash: Photon Megablast!”

“My Beauty: Gods and Men Enraged!”

“Lady: Branches of Sin!”

“Transgression of Infidelity!”

All four instructors simultaneously unleashed the full force of their Spirit Words, driving their attacks toward Jing Fei’s younger brother, Jing Dule.

“Don’t hurt my brother!”

Seeing this, Jing Fei shouted furiously and tried to stop them. But the instructors had truly lost their tempers, and every one of them was exerting their full strength.

Everyone had a forbidden boundary. They had turned themselves into what they were in order to forget—or, perhaps, to unconsciously blind themselves to, cleanse away, and even seal—the painful pasts they never wished to touch again for as long as they lived. Yet Jing Dule had now dragged all of those buried memories into the light. If anyone else had been in their place, who could possibly have remained calm?

Everyone had a vulnerable spot, and the memories they could least bear to recall were the ultimate taboos among them—the absolute realms that no one was ever permitted to touch.

Clearly, Jing Dule was playing with fire—and not merely one person’s fire.

Now the flames of fury had risen into a raging inferno, boundless and all-consuming. Only slaughter could extinguish them.

Nuo Nuo, You Ba, Fu Nian, and Dian Shao—each of them had endured countless trials before reaching their present heights. On ordinary days, even the common condemned prisoners treated them with utmost deference. When had any of them ever been humiliated like this?

They would never forgive him!

The four attacks struck Jing Dule simultaneously, none inferior to the others. Even from a great distance, one could sense the peerless, concentrated force of destruction within them.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom—boom!!

The explosions instantly severed the four tentacles linking the Octopus Doll to everyone’s rooms. Yet the attacks continued forward with unstoppable might, devouring and destroying everything in their path before crashing directly into the Octopus Doll’s main body.

“Don’t you dare touch my brother! His life belongs to me!”

At the sight, Jing Fei once again let out a heart-rending roar. But with rage blazing in their chests, the others had no interest in his nonsensical words. They continued controlling their attacks, determined to kill Jing Dule.

Crash!!

The command room inside the Octopus Doll, which was filled with nutrient fluid, exploded completely. Thick smoke billowed as liquid sprayed in every direction, and the wreckage plunged from midair into the depths below.

Jing Dule was once again blasted into a state in which not a single piece of him remained intact.

Yet from within the smoke came no agonized scream. Instead, there rang out unrestrained laughter—a mocking, derisive laugh.

“You bunch of idiots. You let me out just so I could kill you?”

The skin across Jing Dule’s entire body had been burned away once more. Slowly, he opened his eyes. The eyeballs that had burst apart earlier had somehow already regenerated. With a smile that was neither quite a smile nor quite a sneer, he gazed at the four people before him and said:

“Jing Dule. Code name: Dawn. Well, that’s enough. All of you can die now.”

The entire Octopus Doll suddenly erupted in blinding light. Countless tentacles, together with the buildings attached to them, rose into the sky and came crashing down toward Mu You and the others.

The moment Mu You saw this, he immediately swept up An Ruxiang and An Ruohuan beside him. Blood-ink phoenix feathers unfurled into the air, carrying them high into the sky. The others were not so fortunate. Seeing that they could not evade the attack, they each launched their own moves and confronted the enormous tentacles head-on.

For a time, waves of force churned through the air, while shouts and cries rang out without end. The group became locked in combat with the tentacles filling the sky. There were numerous condemned prisoners, along with four peak instructors who were themselves A-rank condemned prisoners, yet even so, they had to fight with all their strength merely to maintain a precarious deadlock.

“Hahaha! This is fun—so much fun! There are so many of you, yet none of you can defeat me alone! Hey, hey, you four big shots over there—does any one of you have enough blood in your veins to break through? A battle is only interesting when it reaches that point. Otherwise…”

As he spoke, Jing Dule raised both hands to his eyes. Slowly, he dug out his own eyeballs, then crushed them in his fists.

“Otherwise… life and death will be decided in an instant.”

Jing Dule spoke playfully. The Octopus Doll’s countless tentacles suddenly erupted with piercing silver light before rapidly shrinking. They clung to his body like a suit of armor. As the radiance flowed across them, they brimmed with overwhelming power and a palpable aura of destruction, enough to make anyone’s heart tremble.

The fluid from his crushed eyeballs seeped bit by bit into the octopus armor, gradually merging with Jing Dule’s skin. In the blink of an eye, the armor seemed to fuse completely with his body. Every gesture he made exuded a terrifying presence that seized the soul.

Blood poured from his empty eye sockets as Jing Dule breathed greedily. He spread both hands toward the crowd. From the pair of blood-red, skeletal hollows where his eyes had been, a sinister fluid continued to ooze without end. Blue nerve endings still twitched within them.

Yet the agony of tearing out one’s eyes—pain no ordinary person could possibly endure—seemed to be some kind of ritual that unlocked the seals within Jing Dule. In a certain realm, it had elevated and liberated him.

“How wonderful… My eyes are gone. I no longer have to witness this world, already ruined beyond repair…”

The blood from his pupils trickled into his mouth. Jing Dule stuck out his tongue and playfully licked it, then smacked his lips as though savoring the taste.

“This kind of blood is always the sweetest. Why don’t you all have a taste as well? Of course, I mean the blood from your own eyes!”

The instant his voice fell, countless tentacles spread like the tail of a peacock and shot toward everyone—more precisely, toward everyone’s eyes.

Compared with this strike, everything that had come before was nothing more than child’s play.
