Chapter 17: The Hotel Assault
Hearing these words, Liu Yusheng’s eyes brimmed with tears. In Qin Yu, he seemed to glimpse the Qin family of old—defiant, proud, and brimming with an indomitable spirit.
“Young master, the ones who attacked me belong to an assassin organization. I think they call themselves Willow Leaf, as for...” Liu Yusheng hadn’t finished speaking when he sensed the murderous aura emanating from Qin Yu.
“Grandpa Liu, rest assured and recover. Leave the rest to me,” Qin Yu said, then turned and strode away.
Watching Qin Yu’s retreating figure, Liu Yusheng felt a trace of unease in his heart.
Upon returning to the hotel, Qin Yu walked straight to Jin Ming, his tone icy. “Tell me where your Willow Leaf organization is.”
Jin Ming looked at Qin Yu in confusion at the mention of Willow Leaf. No one could miss the furious storm raging in Qin Yu’s eyes. In such a state, it was obvious what he intended by seeking out Willow Leaf’s headquarters.
“Sir, Willow Leaf is extremely mysterious. You can’t possibly wipe them out completely. Besides, what we know is just one of their strongholds. Even if you raze it all, it won’t change anything.”
Jin Ming still tried to dissuade him. After all, Willow Leaf’s terror was legendary.
But what Jin Ming didn’t understand was that Willow Leaf had crossed Qin Yu’s bottom line—his family.
“Tell me. If you want to live, don’t waste words.”
“South City, Bai Clan Bar.”
Qin Yu nodded, gave a few instructions, and left the hotel alone.
Outside, he took out his phone and dialed a number.
“Big brother, what are your orders?” Wang Hu’s voice came through.
“The Bai Clan Bar. I have business there. Lock down the area.”
At once, Wang Hu began mobilizing everyone and sped towards the Bai Clan Bar.
When Qin Yu arrived, he entered directly. The doorman, who didn’t recognize him, felt the killing intent radiating from Qin Yu and hurriedly tried to block his path, while signaling the people inside.
“Sir, are you here to have fun or to cause trouble?”
“Tell your Willow Leaf leader to get out here.”
At the mention of Willow Leaf, the doorman instantly understood the visitor was here to make trouble and immediately triggered the alarm.
In moments, a group of people rushed out. The murderous aura they exuded left no doubt in Qin Yu’s mind—these were assassins.
Qin Yu didn’t hesitate; a flick of his wrist sent several silver needles flying, and all the assassins were paralyzed on the spot.
Once the situation was clear, the bar manager quickly ordered all the guests to leave.
Qin Yu was in no hurry. Waiting outside, he watched as the last of the guests departed, then strolled into the bar.
“Qin Yu, I didn’t expect you to find us so quickly. But do you really think we’re unprepared?” the leader, a fat man, said with a sneer, clapping his hands.
A crowd closed in, each clutching a silver dagger, their eyes cold and fixed on Qin Yu.
Qin Yu regarded them with utter indifference. With a wave of his hand, several silver needles shot out.
The fat man, sipping his drink with smug satisfaction, downed his glass and smashed it on the floor. He lay back in his chair, eyes closed, awaiting Qin Yu’s screams of agony.
But no sound came, no matter how long he waited.
Curious, the fat man opened his eyes and discovered everyone else remained motionless, while Qin Yu now stood before him.
“What are you all doing? Attack!” the fat man stammered, panic rising.
Qin Yu patted his shoulder and sat across from him, a cold smile on his lips. “Talk. Where is your headquarters?”
“I don’t know,” the fat man shook his head instantly.
“Oh?” Qin Yu’s disbelief was evident. He drew a dagger and, grabbing the fat man’s hand, drove it through his palm.
A shriek of pain erupted from the fat man. “I really don’t know! I’m not lying!”
Qin Yu frowned. He hadn’t expected the organization’s secrecy to be so strict that even a branch leader would know nothing of the headquarters’ location.
Just as he was considering whether to kill the fat man, Qin Yu’s phone rang.
Jin Ming’s weak voice came through. “Sir, come back quickly! The hotel was attacked! All of the Sun family’s bodyguards are dead!”
Hearing this, Qin Yu’s expression changed. With a flick of his wrist, he filled the fat man’s body with silver needles.
“In three days, have someone with authority in your organization come to me. Otherwise, your body will be completely ruined.”
With that, Qin Yu rushed from the bar.
Outside, Wang Hu hurried over. “Boss, we’re ready here. When do we move?”
“Thank you. Everyone stays—watch closely. See exactly who comes into contact with these people.”
Qin Yu had decided to set a trap.
“No problem,” Wang Hu replied with a confident nod.
Qin Yu hurried back to the hotel. On his floor, bodies of the Sun family’s bodyguards lay everywhere.
Just then, a faint groan sounded from a corner.
Qin Yu raced toward it. The sound came from Qin Mianmian’s room, and a chilling intent instantly enveloped him.
He flung open the door. Blood was splattered everywhere.
Panic seized him. “Mianmian! Mianmian, where are you?”
“Sir...” A weak voice came from the corner.
He saw Jin Ming lying in a pool of blood, trembling all over, with Qin Mianmian cowering beside him. Fortunately, she seemed unharmed, only terrified out of her wits.
Qin Yu checked Jin Ming’s wounds. He had lost too much blood and was on the brink of death.
With a flick of his wrist, seven silver needles landed on Jin Ming’s body.
At once, color returned to Jin Ming’s cheeks.
Qin Yu produced a bottle of black ointment and applied it to Jin Ming’s wounds. The bleeding stopped instantly, and the flesh began to heal visibly.
Qin Yu then went to Qin Mianmian, pulled her into his arms, and said gently, “Brother’s back. Don’t be afraid.”
With a wail, Qin Mianmian burst into tears, burying her face in his chest, her body trembling uncontrollably.
Seeing her like this tore at Qin Yu’s heart and filled him with rage toward the assailants who had ambushed the hotel.
Jin Ming’s feeble voice sounded again. “Sir, Mu Yu was taken. I don’t know what’s happened to her.”
At this, Qin Yu carried Mianmian to the bed, laid her down, and quietly soothed her.
Soon, exhaustion overtook her and she fell asleep, though her brow remained furrowed, her slumber plagued by unrest.
