Chapter 66: How Dare You Feed This Prince Poison (3)
Feng Shang narrowed his phoenix-like eyes, pondering for a moment before speaking, "I care not whether you are the Prince of Chen or the Prince of Zhao. Having entered my estate and slain my people, you must leave something behind."
Zongzheng Moyin let out a cold laugh, meeting Feng Shang's chilling gaze while rapidly calculating his chances of striking Feng Shang dead right on the spot.
Within a few breaths, however, he shook his head.
He was well aware of Feng Shang's martial prowess. If a single strike failed and allowed him to escape, it would prove exceedingly detrimental to him in the future.
Although Feng Shang might not dare to openly rebel, the forces under his own command were far from monolithic at present, and there was no need for him to make an outright enemy of the entire Mobei.
Yet—if Feng Shang was merely putting on a bluff, the benefits of killing him went without saying!
Thus, Zongzheng Moyin sneered, "What is it that the Ninth Prince wishes to leave behind?"
There was not a trace of emotion in Feng Shang's eyes, yet his words carried an arrogant and overbearing defiance, "All those stained with blood shall end their own lives. As for the rest, each shall sever an arm, and I will allow you to leave."
With that, Feng Shang glanced sideways at Zongzheng Moyin, a slight smile curling the corner of his lips, "Of course, His Highness the Prince of Chen is of noble birth, so you may rest assured. I shall not demand an arm of yours."
Though Feng Shang used respectful phrasing, his expression and demeanor betrayed not the slightest sign of hesitation toward Zongzheng Moyin.
It was as if even if he were to execute Zongzheng Moyin on the spot, he would do so without a second thought.
Fuxin flew into a rage, shouting, "You!" With that, he unsheathed the broadsword at his waist and lunged furiously at Feng Shang.
Chang Geyue was well acquainted with Fuxin's capabilities; to say his prowess was peerless under heaven when matched against others would hardly be an exaggeration. Yet against this perverted man, the outcome promised to be utterly gruesome and violent.
Chang Geyue pouted; she truly lacked the stomach to watch Fuxin reduced to a bloody pulp in an instant.
Though she thought thus, her face remained entirely devoid of any trace of pity.
To Chang Geyue's astonishment, however, Feng Shang did not deliver a fatal blow straight away. Instead, he drew the soft sword from his waist and stabbed Fuxin with it, strike by strike.
Wrists, arms, waist, and back.
In no time at all, Fuxin was covered in blood, though the actual wounds inflicted were not severe.
Chang Geyue furrowed her brows slightly. What manner of hobby was this?
To anger Fuxin to death?
True to thought, Fuxin was already roaring, "Does the mighty Ninth Prince not dare to exchange blows with me directly!" Every time he came close to Feng Shang, the man would effortlessly evade him using lightness kung fu.
Yet with every sideways dodge, another scar was left upon his body.
"Are you humiliating me?!" Fuxin had reached the zenith of fury, clutching his heavy broadsword with nowhere to vent his rage.
Meanwhile, Feng Shang glided around him like a phantom. Zongzheng Moyin kept his gaze locked intently on the combat.
He knew Fuxin's strength full well, yet Fuxin could not even come within striking distance of Feng Shang.
His apprehension toward Feng Shang deepened significantly. If Fuxin was merely a plaything in Feng Shang's hands, then even if all of them launched a joint assault, it would hardly suffice as an appetizer for the man.
Zongzheng Moyin gritted his teeth and commanded, "Stand down! Do as the Ninth Prince says."
"Your Highness!" Fuxin stared at Zongzheng Moyin in disbelief, but meeting the prince's gaze, he dared not utter another word. With a grimace, he severed his own arm.
Once Zongzheng Moyin's order was issued, the members of the Youlan Guard gritted their teeth; those stained with blood took their own lives, while the rest severed an arm. Chang Geyue's eyes narrowed slightly—the Youlan Guard was indeed a formidable blade at Zongzheng Moyin's side!
Viewing the scene before him, Zongzheng Moyin realized that while he had previously investigated the situation in Mobei merely to consolidate his own power, he now utterly despised Feng Shang. A cold smile touched Zongzheng Moyin's lips as he extended a long arm to point directly at Chang Geyue.
