Chapter 39: I Have Been Waiting for You for a Long Time (4)
A flicker of annoyance crossed Feng Shang’s lips. Due to his unique constitution, he had never before experienced such intimate contact with a woman. "Let go."
"I refuse." Chang Ge Yue was determined to play the rogue to the very end.
Feng Shang let out a cold laugh and exerted force with his legs. Having lost their footing, the two tumbled downward together. In mid-air, Feng Shang struck several acupuncture points on Chang Ge Yue’s body with a backhanded motion. Instantly, she felt her limbs stiffen and go completely immobile. "You..."
Feng Shang cast a cold glance at her and hoisted her up as if she were a dirty rag, carrying her all the way down to the ground.
With a cold snort, he tossed her onto the floor. Damned woman, she had dragged him down with her for the second time!
Chang Ge Yue slammed into the ground with a thud. Damn it, face-first!
Feng Shang watched her look of vexation, his expression remaining utterly unmoved. Recalling that day at the Bixi Cold Pool, he felt a surge of stifled rage. "Woman, this scenery is quite magnificent; it is an excellent place to be buried."
As he spoke, he drew the soft sword from his waist and began to wipe it clean, measuring it against Chang Ge Yue’s neck for a long moment, as if contemplating where best to strike.
He wanted to see if this woman was truly unafraid of death.
Chang Ge Yue shot him a look, thinking him childish. She cast a glance around; it was pitch black, but a biting, frigid aura surged toward them from not far away. After a long moment, she frowned and said, "Is this the deep shore of the Bixi Cold Pool?"
The so-called deep shore was a stretch of land located beneath the depths of the Bixi Cold Pool.
Feng Shang gave her a look that suggested she wasn't entirely dim-witted.
If she weren't paralyzed, Chang Ge Yue would have lunged at the old pervert to slap him a few times. "You call this temperature 'magnificent scenery'? Big brother, there isn't even a blade of grass here..." A classic pervert with well-developed limbs and a shriveled brain!
A smile curved Feng Shang’s lips. He leaned down to look at Chang Ge Yue, who was still sprawled in a face-plant position, and twisted her head ninety degrees. "Isn't that a marvelous view?!"
Chang Ge Yue followed his gaze. "Ah!" Following her shrill scream, the corners of Feng Shang’s mouth slowly curled upward.
Ten? A hundred? Intertwined white skeletons stood there in all sorts of positions. On some, the flesh had rotted away, yet the skin remained. Such a scene would give even a man nightmares, let alone a woman like Chang Ge Yue!
Seeing the look of horror on her face and the way her stiff body seemed to tremble, Feng Shang felt a sense of relief wash over him, sweeping away the gloom of the past few days. He reached out with one hand toward her. "Rest assured, if you die in the Cold Pool, your corpse won't turn into..."
Before he could finish his sentence, he felt a sharp sting in his palm. Highly sensitive to poisons, he instantly realized a rare toxin was flowing into his bloodstream.
A strange emotion flickered in Feng Shang’s eyes. He pulled out the silver needle, a hint of amusement now coloring his gaze. "Woman, it seems this Prince underestimated you!"
Chang Ge Yue retreated dozens of steps in a flash. She accidentally stepped on a skeleton, but this time she didn't change her expression; without looking back, she murmured an apology to the bones, then a foxy smile bloomed on her lips. "You think a few dead people can scare me? You flashy peacock, you're still too wet behind the ears!"
Besides, she had specialized in the art of acupuncture points while at the Naihe Bridge; if not for the fact that this pervert’s technique was somewhat unique, she wouldn't have taken so long to break free!
Furthermore, she didn't even fear ghosts, so why would she be afraid of a pile of rotten bones?!
Feng Shang’s eyes narrowed slightly as he slowly processed the way she had addressed him. He gritted his teeth until they creaked. "Woman, what did you just call this Prince!"
