"I'll pay for your medical expenses and cooperate with your doctor's treatment. Does taking care of your daily needs really guarantee a recovery?"

"If it doesn't heal, I'll have no choice but to sue you," Dongfang She sighed, looking genuinely troubled.

Yu Jin felt a wave of absurdity wash over her, her blood boiling. "You say it's broken, so it's broken? How do I know you didn't collude with the doctor to trick me?"

Upon hearing this, Dongfang She raised an eyebrow almost imperceptibly. He took two steps forward, trapping her within the scent of his presence, his voice cold and overbearing. "Do you think a CEO with a net worth of billions would bother to swindle you? What could I possibly want from you?"

His green eyes were as deep as the sea, fixed intently on her. Yu Jin paused, frowning in thought.

True, what could he possibly want from her? The fact that she had kicked him there wasn't exactly something to boast about, so how could he openly use it as an excuse to make her wait on him?

Besides, why would he even care if she took care of him?

"Besides, do I have any reason to lie to you about such a humiliating matter?"

Yu Jin was speechless. Even though the man's story was full of holes, why couldn't she find a single point to use to her advantage?

"Enough, have you finished dawdling? I'm starving!" Dongfang She snapped. Why was this woman so stubborn? Wasn't it a blessing to be tangled up with a handsome, wealthy man like him? What was there to agonize over?

"In that case..." Yu Jin narrowed her eyes. She wouldn't take a loss. "Do I still get my full attendance bonus for this month?"

Dongfang She froze, clearly unable to keep up with her train of thought.

Yu Jin pointed to the documents on the desk, playing the part. "Assistant Qin's instructions—you also said that if I slacked off at work, my bonus would be deducted..."

Dongfang She waved a hand dismissively. These were trivial matters. "Pay it in full!"

Yu Jin’s lips curled into a smile. Satisfied, she bounced out the door.

Yu Jin pursed her lips, accepting defeat. She followed him at a sluggish pace, while simultaneously pulling out her phone to text her treasure, telling him to eat instant noodles on his own.

In a large supermarket, a dashing, handsome man pushed a shopping cart, following a poised woman with a bizarre expression on his face.

"Everything you're buying, we already have at home..." Dongfang She reminded her in a low voice, trying to maintain his patience.

Damn it! He, the dignified leader of the Dragon Sect and CEO of Air Group, had been reduced to accompanying a woman to the supermarket! And worst of all, he was actually pushing the shopping cart!

"It's not fresh, and your place doesn't have the things I like to eat," Yu Jin pouted, continuing to pick out items.

A stray lock of hair fell, her black tresses accentuating her snow-white skin. Dongfang She watched her busy figure, and all his restlessness vanished in an instant.
