Chapter 16: Then Let's Add Another Ten Million!
Chapter 16: Then Add Another Ten Million!
In his memory, Xue An was a kind-hearted, even somewhat timid person.
Back in school, he had provoked Xue An more than once, yet Xue An never retaliated.
Unexpectedly, this time he suddenly exploded.
Xue An turned to Fan Mengxue and Tang Xuan’er and said, “You two take Xiangxiang and Niannian and wait for me outside!”
Fan Mengxue always obeyed Xue An’s words without question, and although Tang Xuan’er hesitated for a moment, she also got up and left.
At this point, the two little girls, Xue Xiang and Xue Nian, still had no idea what was happening.
From the beginning, Xue An had used magic to shield the two girls—after all, the scene just now had been too bloody.
Once the two daughters left, Xue An’s gaze turned to Hong Ming.
Hong Ming shuddered all over as Xue An’s look was terrifying.
It was the look of an emperor looking down at his subjects.
Suddenly, Hong Ming felt an urge to prostrate himself on the ground. Trembling, he said, “Alright! Ten million, right? I’ll give it!”
A true man doesn’t suffer immediate losses; Hong Ming decided to admit defeat for now and seek revenge later.
But Xue An shook his head, then said calmly, “It was ten million just now, but now it’s twenty million!”
“After all… you made me exert so much effort and even broke an ashtray. Shouldn’t you compensate me a little?”
Hong Ming’s eyes widened.
It was the first time he’d heard of someone having to pay compensation after being beaten.
As for the others, they were utterly stunned.
After a moment, a few boys mustered their courage and said, “Xue An, that’s enough. We’re all classmates; there’s no need for this…”
“Yeah, yeah! Hong Shao’s already beaten up like this; let’s be merciful and just forget it!”
Xue An’s gaze swept over their faces.
This time, no one dared to meet his eyes and they all lowered their heads.
“Alright! Since everyone is pleading for you like this…”
The crowd’s hearts relaxed slightly, thinking Xue An was about to let it go.
Xue An said calmly, “Then add another ten million!”
Everyone was stunned.
Hong Ming’s face turned as ugly as it could be.
—
Thirty million.
That was no small sum.
Though his family was wealthy, money didn’t just fall from the sky. Especially since he hadn’t yet taken over the family business and usually only spent the pocket money given by his family.
It was quite a bit, but still far from thirty million.
Just then, a commotion came from outside, faintly carrying the screams and angry shouts of women.
Xue An’s face instantly darkened. He kicked open the door to the private room and strode out.
The people inside quickly followed him.
In the corridor, a man with wildly dyed, colorful hair that looked like a bird’s nest, led a few underlings, surrounding Fan Mengxue, Tang Xuan’er, and the others.
The man sneered, “Hey, girl, I noticed you at the door earlier. You’re so pretty—why are you with such a useless man? Why don’t you come with me instead? I’m well-endowed and know how to please—you won’t regret it!”
Tang Xuan’er’s face flushed red with anger, and she was momentarily speechless.
Fan Mengxue couldn’t help but scold, “Shameless and lewd! Let us go! Or face the consequences!”
“Oh? This one’s even prettier! Consequences? In Beijiang, no one dares talk to me like that!” the man chuckled.
Xue An’s eyes flashed with killing intent at the sight.
Hong Ming saw the man and immediately acted as if he had found a savior, rushing over and crying out, “Brother Kun, help! Brother Kun, save me!”
The man called Brother Kun finally noticed Hong Ming. “Hey, isn’t this Young Master Hong? Why’s your face covered in blood?”
At that moment, Song Jing, like a dog seeing its master, eagerly embellished the story.
Brother Kun glanced at Xue An, first startled, then sneered with disdain.
“I thought you were some big shot from across the river, but you’re just a loser!”
Brother Kun was the same man who had mocked Xue An as a bumpkin at the entrance of Longhuang Terrace.
Now, Xue An’s classmates recognized Brother Kun and whispered among themselves.
“Killer Kun! It’s actually Killer Kun!”
“I heard this guy is ruthless and is under Du Fan, the boss of Longhuang Terrace!”
“Looks like Young Master Hong has a good relationship with this Lu Kun! Things are about to get interesting!”
Lu Kun patted Hong Ming’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, I’ll handle this. But these two girls… are they your classmates?”
Hong Ming trembled all over and nodded.
Lu Kun smiled even wider. “In that case, no outsiders here. I want to invite these two young ladies to dinner later. How’s that?”
Though it sounded like a question, Hong Ming knew Lu Kun was the underboss of Nan City’s big boss, known for his arrogance and ruthlessness. When Lu Kun said something, it had to be done.
Hong Ming hesitated, then bit his lip. Since things with Fan Mengxue were already impossible and Lu Kun was not someone to offend, he decided to go along and do a favor. He nodded.
Lu Kun turned, grinning evilly. “Kid, I’ll give you two choices. One: kneel and apologize to Young Master Hong. If he’s satisfied, I’ll let you go. The other: tonight, I throw you in the river to feed the sharks.”
But a childish voice piped up, “Uncle Bird’s Nest, there are no sharks in the river. Sharks live in the sea!”
The speaker was Xue Xiang.
Lu Kun’s expression suddenly became quite interesting.
Xue An smiled faintly. “Do you really like your hair that much?”
The question was out of place and confused Lu Kun.
“What?”
“I mean, do you really like your hair? Otherwise, why dye it all those colors?”
Lu Kun proudly flicked his bangs. “Of course! My hair is very precious! I…”
Xue An nodded. “Good.”
Then Xue An suddenly kicked off the ground with his left foot, launching himself forward like a cannonball.
Several underlings tried to block him, but Xue An swept them aside in an instant. He grabbed the still stunned Lu Kun.
“What… what are you doing? I… I’m Brother Fan’s man… you…”
Xue An’s hand slowly rose, lifting Lu Kun off the ground, who rolled his eyes in pain.
Only when Lu Kun’s face nearly turned green did Xue An suddenly release him, and Lu Kun fell to the ground with a thud before he could react.
Xue An whispered, “Cover their eyes.”
Fan Mengxue and Tang Xuan’er understood immediately and covered Xue Xiang and Xue Nian’s eyes and blocked their ears.
Then Xue An grabbed a handful of Lu Kun’s hair and tugged hard.
Rip.
A large clump of hair was torn out.
Lu Kun screamed miserably. To avoid disturbing his daughters, Xue An extended his right hand and effortlessly dislocated Lu Kun’s jaw.
Then, as if harvesting chives, Xue An violently yanked out handful after handful of Lu Kun’s hair.
