Chapter 34: Are you willing to bear my child, my sweet?
Secretary Jin held two urgent documents that required President Gu’s signature.
Pushing open the door, he was met with an unexpected scene. A young girl in a pink dress was sitting on the President's lap, her white teeth gnashing at his neck.
"I’m going to bite you to death!"
"I'll suck all your blood away!"
"That way, you won't be able to like Li Shaojue anymore!"
Secretary Jin: What?!
Approaching forty, he had seen his fair share of storms, but the revelation that President Gu had a penchant for Li Shaojue was truly unbelievable!
Gu Jinzhou’s eyes remained calm and composed. He pressed a hand against the restless young woman in his arms and said in a clean, indifferent tone, "Give me the documents."
Secretary Jin hurriedly handed them over. At such close range, he saw the President’s neck; there was no blood, but there was a deep, distinct tooth mark. Having dealt with the wealthy for a long time, Secretary Jin knew better than anyone how much these people cared about their bodies—terrified of injury, damage, and especially death. President Gu truly doted on Miss Ruanruan.
Er... would he see Li Shaojue making a scene in the President’s arms next? Secretary Jin’s mind wandered, and his expression began to crack.
Gu Jinzhou’s eyelids twitched. He was far too sharp not to see exactly what the secretary was thinking. The man pinched the bridge of his nose, his voice aristocratic and magnetic as he said with a sense of helplessness, "Don't listen to her nonsense. Go back to work."
"Yes," Secretary Jin replied.
In the secretarial department, his colleagues asked with concern, "Secretary Jin, why are you sweating?"
"Your eyelids are twitching!"
"Miss Ruanruan is here to visit today; the President should be in a good mood, right?"
"Is the President perhaps in a foul mood?"
Secretary Jin let out a long breath. "It's nothing. Don't guess."

Miss Ruanruan had grown up calling the President "Brother." Having been with Gu Jinzhou since his high school days, Secretary Jin knew how deep their bond went. He remembered once, when the President learned that young Master Lu Huaiyu of the Lu family liked Miss Ruanruan, he had summoned Lu Huaiyu’s older brother for a private talk.
He had warned the eldest Lu brother bluntly: "If Lu Huaiyu confesses to Ruanruan and stains her reputation, I will use every means necessary to ensure his reputation is utterly destroyed."
Secretary Jin had seen a shocking sense of possessiveness in the President’s eyes. It was not the protective stance of a brother toward a sister, but the raw possessiveness of a man toward his beloved. Secretary Jin prayed that the bond between them would remain as solid as a fortress and not be ruined by some male homewrecker.

Gu Jinzhou locked the office door. His long, dry fingers unceremoniously lifted the hem of Su Ruanruan’s pink dress. Holding her squirming waist with one hand, he raised his other hand and brought it down lightly.
*Smack! Smack! Smack!*
He spanked her rounded, perky bottom three times. His eyes darkened as he asked, with a mix of severity and tenderness, "Will you dare to spout nonsense again?"
Su Ruanruan’s eyes ignited with bright little flames. "I dare, I dare! I wasn't wrong. You keep mentioning Li Shaojue in my ear; I certainly wouldn't like him, so that must mean *you* like him!"
When she was small, she called Gu Jinzhou "Brother" and never got hit. But as she grew older, she would shout and scream at him, and her bottom would end up being spanked daily. If she were to call him "Husband" after they got married, heaven only knew what kind of abuse she would suffer!
Gu Jinzhou smoothed down her dress; his white shirt had lost two buttons in the commotion. His thin lips pressed into a line as he sighed, "My sweet, I won't mention him anymore, and you are forbidden from attending their engagement party."
"If you'
