Chapter 40: The Little Vampire in the Old Castle 13
Yu Deng gave a perfunctory response, not really listening to what the man was saying at all.
His sharp little fangs were still biting into Qin Jun's neck, slowly sipping the fresh blood welling from the wound.
Having been continuously fed by Wen Luo over the past few days, Yu Deng was not particularly hungry. However, the taste of this guy Qin Jun's blood was quite good, just as delicious as Wen Luo's.
Taking only a light taste, Yu Deng slowly loosened his fangs.
Because he had been too excited just now, he had bitten down hard, leaving two quite deep marks on the side of Qin Jun's neck.
Yu Deng licked his lips, thought for a few seconds, and then reluctantly leaned over again, his tongue sweeping across the two wounds.
Qin Jun could feel the wounds on his neck healing rapidly, and his heart completely melted.
Yu Deng gave Qin Jun a perfunctory treatment. With the agonizing heat resolved and some tasty blood to taste, Yu Deng was in a very good mood now.
His gaze dropped back down to the front, only to see his clothes still hanging open in a mess. He quickly reached out to pull his shorts back up.
"...Mmm." Yu Deng tidied himself up a little. "Qin Jun, did you say something just a moment ago?"
Qin Jun held him close, wiping away the white frost on his hands. "Yes, I said, I should have been quite comfortable and satisfied just now, right?"
Yu Deng looked at this dessert gentleman, and catching a glimpse of the man's wiping motion, his already blushing face grew even redder.
"...Barely comfortable, I suppose." Yu Deng gave an objective verdict on his overall experience, and then grumbled with picky disdain, "But your hands are too rough, and you used too much force. It hurt."
This was probably the first time in Qin Jun's life that he had served someone only to be lectured for it. Yet he felt not the slightest bit displeased; instead, he experienced a strange sense of satisfaction.
After being satisfied, the little vampire was feeling lazy and languid. Because of the intense sensory stimulation, the little vampire had shed quite a few tears, leaving the outer corners of his eyes flushed with a seductive, rose-tinted allure. His lips, freshly stained from drinking blood, were bright red and parted slightly, revealing a hint of his pink tongue tip.
Qin Jun's self-restraint had reached its absolute limit.
"Although my technique had some flaws, could I perhaps ask for a little reward?"
Yu Deng looked up in a daze, and the next moment, he was kissed by Qin Jun.
"Hiss!"
The emotions suppressed for so long poured into this kiss. The man kissed him rather heavily, repeatedly sucking on Yu Deng's lips and instinctively taking possession of every corner of his mouth.
Yu Deng was already somewhat drained of strength, and being kissed like this made his legs turn weak. The tears he had managed to stop welled up in his eyes once more.
"Why are you kissing me so hard... Go away!"
Having just been comfortably attended to, Yu Deng turned hostile the moment he was kissed, irritably reaching out to push away Qin Jun's cheek.
Qin Jun obediently allowed himself to be pushed away, no longer bullying those bright red lips, but instead gently biting down on Yu Deng's collarbone.
Yu Deng scrambled out of Qin Jun's arms, glaring at him angrily.
The tall man stood up along with him, looked down at Yu Deng for a few seconds, and then slowly squatted down in front of him.
The ears atop the man's head twitched. "I'm sorry. You can play with my ears."
That pair of black wolf ears twitched a few times, and when Yu Deng placed his hand on them, they instinctively flattened to let him pet them.
Yu Deng still couldn't resist anything fluffy, so he reached out and gave them a ruffle.
Qin Jun acted as though it was his very first time having his ears petted—or perhaps, the first time experiencing the stimulation brought by the nerve endings in that area. He kept his head down stiffly, his muscles tensed all over, while his tail wagged incessantly behind him.
After petting the wolf, Yu Deng's anger subsided a bit, and he grew rather sleepy.
Qin Jun squatted on the ground, looking up at Yu Deng. At this moment, Qin Jun finally had the spare attention to devote to other matters.
The young vampire master's goal was actually to make him sign a contract as well.
What kind of connection did the young master have with that boring main system? Could he be an NPC assigned a special task?
...
In Yu Deng's bedroom.
Because Yu Deng had left too quickly just now, the little bat failed to react in time and hadn't been able to keep up.
The more it thought about it in the room, the more wrong it felt. It scratched its head with a paw and emitted a special positioning sonar wave. Once the positioning finished, the entire bat was dumbfounded.
Oh no! The young master went to the wild man's room!
The little bat ball flew off in a panic and found the butler, who was dealing with official business in a study in the annex.
Although the butler didn't seem like a good person either, at least he was somewhat reliable on the surface.
"What's wrong?" Wen Luo took off his glasses and glanced at the bat ball that had smashed through the window. "At this hour, you should be guarding the young master."
The little bat waved its bat wings to gesture, continuously sending out sonar waves.
Wen Luo's expression sank.
Just for that short while when he wasn't keeping watch, the young master might have been bullied by another man.
The little bat was still gesturing, but in the blink of an eye, the butler had vanished from before its eyes.
...
Bang—
The wooden door of the werewolf's guest room was pushed open once again, and Wen Luo found the young master who was running around instead of sleeping at night.
The corners of the young vampire master's eyes and brows carried the lingering allure of satisfaction, his lips were plump and rosy, and there was a faint mark on his collarbone.
Yu Deng's shorts were somewhat disheveled, and he was still immersed in the werewolf's fluffy onslaught.
There was a faint, fishy scent lingering in the air.
Wen Luo realized almost instantly what had happened just moments ago. His bat wings spread out, and his gaze turned icy cold.
"Young master, I'll take you back to rest."
"Eh?" Yu Deng pulled his hand back from the wolf's ears. "You're here."
Qin Jun stood up and offered a low invitation. "You can rest here, too."
Wen Luo could no longer restrain himself. He strode over and scooped the sleepy Yu Deng up horizontally. "Young master, you need to go back to your bedroom to rest. There is a magic array set up there, which is more suitable for a newborn vampire to rest."
Yu Deng still cared very much about his physical health. "Oh... then let's go back." Having said that, he gave Qin Jun a perfunctory wave of his hand.
Qin Jun watched the vampire butler carry Yu Deng away and clicked his tongue, ultimately choosing not to snatch the little vampire back.
"... "
Within the span of just a few breaths, Wen Luo carried Yu Deng back to his room and placed him right in the middle of the bed.
"Young master, do you hurt anywhere? Did he bully you?"
Yu Deng shook his head. "Not really bullied. It's just that his hands were too rough."
The vampire butler fell silent for a moment, his dark eyes obscure, as his fingertips grazed Yu Deng's collarbone. "Why did you suddenly go out?"
Yu Deng said cheerfully, "Because I suddenly felt like going to look for a dessert."
Wen Luo: "..."
Looking at the young master's current appearance, it was crystal clear who had actually been the dessert that got eaten up.
"Oh right, Wen Luo, I suddenly felt super hot just now, and had him help me... after that, it wasn't so uncomfortable anymore. Why did that happen?" Yu Deng asked in puzzlement.
Wen Luo finally connected all the dots. Clenching his fists slightly, he explained, "Some vampires have unique physiques, and when their power is unstable, they are prone to entering a special period. It seems that is likely the case for you right now."
They would crave release, and crave blood. Of course, they were also easily eaten down to the bone by others.
Wen Luo explained patiently and gently to Yu Deng, completely hiding the fact that he was exaggerating. "This is a very serious condition. Non-humans of other races do not understand vampires, and accidents happen very easily."
"Young master, the next time you encounter a situation like this, please be sure to come find me."
Yu Deng was half-comprehending. "Oh... next time I'll look for Wen Luo."
...
After tossing and turning in the middle of the night, Yu Deng finally felt sleepy upon returning and fell asleep the moment his head hit the pillow.
Those non-humans had probably indulged themselves in wild revelry during last night's ball. When Yu Deng woke up the next day, it was already approaching noon, yet most of the guests in the castle were still resting in their rooms.
Last night had been a safe night with no players eliminated.
This ought to have been a good thing, but quite a few players had keenly noticed that compared to yesterday, the emotions of some guests in the castle had grown noticeably more anxious. It wasn't hard to imagine what would happen if no sacrifice was found by the next day.
After finishing lunch, Yu Deng rejected Wen Luo's offer to accompany him and strolled around the castle taking only the little bat along. In the corridor, he ran into a chubby little wizard.
Upon seeing Yu Deng, the chubby little guy's eyes lit up instantly. He eagerly stepped forward to express his gratitude once again, a suspicious blush staining his cheeks.
After a few seconds of processing, Yu Deng remembered that this was the chubby little guy he had casually saved during the maze game.
[Hahaha, chubby's look at Dengdeng is peerless, he practically wants to acknowledge him as his big boss on the spot.]
[Baby can not only easily tame the bad dog, but can also effortlessly harvest little fanboys!]
[Seriously, baby has such a soft heart and has helped so many players. I've hardly ever seen a baby like this across the entire infinite channel.]
Yu Deng exchanged a few brief words with the chubby little guy and ended the conversation.
As he walked, he pondered the players' identities.
There had been a total of nine people at the very beginning of this dungeon instance. With one person eliminated each in the outer forest and the maze game, there were still seven people surviving now.
Among those seven were himself, while Anders and Qin Jun were unconfirmed. This chubby little guy was likely a player, and the wizard who had tested him in the maze that day probably was too, leaving three to four uncertain candidates.
Yu Deng ticked them off on his fingers for a long time, pondering until he felt dizzy.
Suddenly, he caught a foul odor once again, which felt somewhat nauseating, much like the banquet on the first day.
Yu Deng raised his head and saw a male vampire walking toward him from the end of the corridor, holding a cup of fresh, crimson blood.
Aside from that cup of blood, there was also a cut on the back of this male vampire's hand, from which beads of blood were still oozing.
Yu Deng vaguely remembered that this vampire opposite him seemed extremely unpopular, and many non-humans had quarreled with him.
With a look of disgust, Yu Deng took a step back, his eyes smarting from the stench, and prepared to flee this right-and-wrong place.
"You really seem to hate blood." That vampire looked Yu Deng up and down, and taking advantage of the vampire butler's absence, spoke in a sarcastic, sour tone, "And I've never seen your bat wings or fangs either. Could you perhaps be one of those cunning sacrifices?"
[Holy crap, how dare he use sarcasm on our baby! Who is this? Is he a player too?]
[Yeah, I went to check this streamer's live broadcast room; he's cleared five dungeon instances, and rumor has it his methods are quite dirty and his personality has issues.]
[He's pretty lucky though; the vampire duke he drew just happens to have a very punchable personality, so he can pull it off as playing his true self without worrying too much about probing others.]
Yu Deng couldn't determine whether this vampire was an NPC or a player, but he really disliked the guy's tone of voice.
How annoying. Why was it that whenever he was just walking properly, he kept running into these inexplicable people.
So Yu Deng replied with a very unpleasant tone: "You aren't anyone important, why should I show you?"
Yu Deng paused, and added with disgusted disdain: "And your blood stinks."
